Pool draining adaptor

Fall has arrived and I need to empty my pool. I use the classic flexible tube but it broke at least 3 times. I decided to design this 90 deg adaptor to make sure the pressure of the pump is directed in straight line towards the drain.

Before it was the gray tube that did the 90 deg and with pressure it did broke frequently.

That 90deg PETG adaptor in action. I have spray paint the print with clear coat of UV resistant paint.

The printed part is slid fit onto the gray adaptor. Well it does leak from there, it’s very minimal and it’s ok with me.

I also made a other 90deg adaptor to direct water in the drain.

I added this notch to prevent the hose clamp to slide off

Here is why I am printing this into an angle. In my 3D design, I literally cut 45deg my part so when I print it, I oriente it like the image below and it won’t need any support at all.

Or else you need lots of support (the green part) This support is there only for printing, it support the actual orange part, once finish printing, I remove the support material and throw it in the garbage.
